Are North-Africans genetically the same as Middle-Eastern Arabs?

First of all those pictures are not very representative of us North Africans. The people in them could easily be members of other Mediterranean groups, or South American groups, there is nothing in their features that indicates that they primarily have a North African origin. Anyway, as for your question; no, we are not genetically identical to the Arabs in the Middle East, that should be obvious. We are all Berber/Amazigh in origin for the most part. Arab, European and African population flows into our region certainly have left their attributes, but Berber is still our stock. Educated North Africans realise this, that's why you will only hear them use the term "Arab World" rather than Arab race or people. However, I know that the vast majority of us have warm fraternal feelings towards our Arab Muslim brethren in the east. We don't feel any special feelings towards "Christian Arabs" though; we just simply have no bond with them, and in their case Arab is meaningless to us. In summation. There has existed a civilisation that has been defined by the Arabic language and Islamic religion-this is the civilisation that North Africa has belonged to.
