Are Algerians Racist?

Are Algerians racist like people say Egyptians are? I am African American and moving there soon for work. I have heard not so nice things. As a person of color who's had to put up with Shat here, I don't want to go there and have to deal with it. I know racism exist ever where but to what level does it exist in there? I have heard soooo many horror stories about Egyptians and that they are full of pride and Jahil when it comes to light skin. Even more than Americans!!
