Does he love me or even respect me anymore we used to be happy?

ive been with my boyfriend for the past 3 and a half years now and we have a little girl together age two, he says he loves me more then anything and would never do any thing to hurt me but recently i found e-mails on his facebook from his x girlfriend they started off inocent like 'how r u' but after a while she asked him to go meet up with her, at this point i freaked ou rang him and told him i know everything he came home from work that night and said he only told her he would meet her so she would stop asking him and that he wasn't going to go. after a few hours of apolagising on his half not mine!!! he changed his facebook password and the passwords on his phone.. when i challenged him about doing so he said he was entiteled to his privacy which he never cared about before i always had full acess to all his accounts.. now i dont know what to do hes acting like nothing happened and he doesnt want to go anywhwere or do anything with me anymore im so confused he says he loves me and i love him but i really dont knoe if i can trust him anymore but i want to coz he means so much to me :(
