Why do French women have this reputation in the world?

There is a Frenchwoman in the place where I am working right now. She was born in Paris, her mother is Algerian and her father is French. She says she worked here for one year and a half but had to left because her contract expired, during that time she met a guy, started living together but then they had to split for the reason mentioned above. She came back after one year for "love" (for the guy she met before). Now she told me that things didn't work out with that guy (she told me all these things during our first conversation without I even ask her). The thing is that since I was told she was French I thought about her as a "s-l-u-t". Am I wrong or not? I haven't met that many French women actually.
